Urainah Glidewell

Urainah Glidewell has served as Executive Director of the Pell City Chamber of Commerce since December 2019. A communications and community engagement professional, she previously worked as Content Manager for the St. Clair News-Aegis after contributing to the publication as a freelance writer.

Deeply committed to community development, Urainah served as President of The Heart of Pell City, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and the ongoing revitalization and promotion of Historic Downtown Pell City.

She currently serves as Vice President of the Pell City Public Library Board and is actively involved with several local organizations, including the Friends of the Animal Control Center Board, the CEPA Advisory Board, and the Pell City Historical Society, where she serves as Co-Chair. Through these roles, she supports community enrichment, historic preservation, educational outreach, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer engagement.

A Pell City resident since 2000, Urainah is passionate about strengthening the community she calls home and is a proud parent of three children who attend Pell City schools.
